NAVIGATING CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL LANDSCAPES
A 10th Batch SEA-Teacher Journey
I am Jovelyn Angelo, a fourth-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Gabaldon Campus. I had the privilege of participating in the 10th batch of the SEA-Teacher Program from October 25 to November 20, 2024, in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia.
The SEA-Teacher Program, an initiative by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), provides a unique opportunity for aspiring educators to enhance their teaching skills, broaden their horizons, and contribute to the improvement of education in Southeast Asia.
During my participation, I was hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) as the receiving university and Sekolah 3 Bahasa Putera Harapan (Puhua) as my host school. This invaluable experience provided me with significant insights into the field of education. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity, as it fostered my personal growth and character development, inspiring me to strive towards becoming an exceptional educator.
